Find a Carpool or Vanpool

Join a carpool or vanpool and save!

Carpooling is when two or more people ride together, usually taking turns driving their own vehicles. By sharing the ride, you reduce the stress of fighting traffic everyday and save thousands of dollars a year on car maintenance, wear and tear and gasoline. Carpoolers not only save trips to the gas pump – they can also cruise past traffic in carpool lanes where, on average, commuters save 36 minutes a day.

Vanpooling is another convenient, reliable and economical way to get to work. Vanpoolers save as much as 70 percent in commute costs compared to those who drive alone. And there are several Southern California Vanpool Programs that make vanpooling even more affordable by providing reductions in vanpool lease costs or other subsidies for starting up a new vanpool.

To find a carpool or vanpool, simply use Southern California’s online ride matching service, provided by Commutesmart.info. Or call 511 and say “Commute Services” to have an agent help you find a carpool or vanpool.
